Night has fallen
On another day in paradise
Wouldn't it be nice
If that was true?
Sadness fills the hallowed walls
Of a broken home
While laughter and celebration
Encompasses the streets
While anger and hatred seep into the souls of those lost,
Hopeless
While happiness overflows the hearts of children
Simply because it's Sunday
The day of rest
The day we fix the broken
The day jubilant street goers sing their hallelujah chorus
The day the anger subsides, and the lost are found
There is hope in the eyes of children
If only we could see what they see
Night has fallen
On another day in paradise
Wouldn't it be nice
If it were true?
